Greenspan: Immigration reform will help economy

Former Federal Reserve Chief Alan Greenspan testified before the Senate a few days ago making a statement about immigration reform, which he believes that would greatly help the economy.

I cannot agree more.  This country has the best talented people from all over the world thanks to its open-door immigration policy.  The best people come and work together to make the United States a great country.  A generous and encouraging immigration policy is a must for this country to continue to move ahead.  Not only we need high-skilled workers to make advances on high tech areas, low-skilled works are also important.  There are many developed country in the world that are short of young workers because their population structure is aging.  No workers, no economy.

I am glad that Greenspan made such a statement and I hope the Congress will work on it in a correct direction.
